O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the second respondent to settle the terminal benefits such as gratuity and leave salary standing to the credit of the petitioner without any further delay with an applicable interest.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's husband died while he was in service during 2017. Subsequently, part of the terminal benefits have been settled. However, the second respondent yet to be settled the terminal benefits such as gratuity and leave salary standing along with interest. In this connection, the petitioner has given a representation dated 27.01.2023, there was no response for the same. 2/5
3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that subsequent to the representation, the petitioner's husband's leave was regularized, and whatever eligible amount is due would be settled in accordance with law.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2025 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner is entitled to interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits to the petitioner 3/5
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
