ORDER

The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 366(A) IPC in Crime No.838 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had love affair with the victim girl and promised to marry her and had sexual intercourse, subsequently rejected the girl.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence. He would also submit that the victim girls parents had forced her to marry a person against her interest, due to which she herself went to her uncles house at Bangalore. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation is pending and the victim girl is a 17 years old minor. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the serious nature of the offence alleged to have committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
