R14 SUO MOTU IMPLEADED VIDE COURT ORDER DATED 29/04/2022 MADE IN CMP.NO.17890/2021 IN WA.NO.623/2021 (SVNJ & NMJ) Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time granted in W.A.623 of 2021 dated 27.08.2021 to pay the remaining amount by a further period of 6 months(in CMP.No.17890 of 2021)pending disposal of the WA.No.623 of 2021. Order: This petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.HAROON, Advocate for M/S.T.S.GOPALAN AND CO for the petitioners and of M/S.
MYTHREYE CHANDRU, Special Government Pleader for the 14th Respondent, the court made the following order:- When the matter is taken up for hearing, pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 19.04.2022, Mrs. Mythreyee Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the Finance Department alone can answer the query posed by tis Court and that they may be made as a party to the proceedings and in case, the financial support is given to the Corporation, the amount can be disbursed to the writ petitioners.

Hence, this Court, suo motu, impleads "The Government of Tamil Nadu, represented by its Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Secretariat, Fort St. George, Chennai 600 009 as a party respondent in the writ appeal. Mrs. Mythreyee Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the newly impleaded respondent.

It is represented by the learned counsel appearing for the Corporation that they have also written a letter dated 05.04.2022 to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Environment, Climate Change and Forests Department to release the funds to enable it to disburse the balance amount due to the writ petitioners.
