ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the

respondents to permit the petitioner to transfer the goods to a Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) with respect to the goods covered under Bill of Lading Bearing No. 100FX12798 dated 29.07.2025.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a private limited company engaged in business of importing, trading, manufacturing & services enterprises. The petitioner had imported packing plywood from Vietnam to Chennai and when the petitioner filed Bill of Entry, the second respondent refused to assess and clear the goods. Now, the petitioner submitted a representation on 23.02.2026 to the second respondent seeking permission to transfer the goods to a Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ), however, the same is not considered till date. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
