ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1) The above contempt petition is filed to punish the respondents for having committed willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court made in WP.No.4664/2021 dated 01.03.2021. (2) It is now reported before this Court that the direction of this Court has been complied with in letter and spirit. The encroachers have also filed a sub application to implead themselves as parties to the contempt proceedings and the same was allowed on 04.01.2023. (3) Earlier, when the matter was heard on 04.01.2023, the learned counsel appearing for the encroachers/respondents 2 to 4 submitted
that respondents 2 to 4 will surrender possession and leave the place if time is given to them till Pongal festival. It is also seen that the writ petitions filed by the encroachers were also dismissed. (4) Today, Mr.Shrish, learned counsel appearing for respondents 2 to 4 who have admitted that they are in encroachment, reported that respondents 2 to 4 have surrendered possession and hence, the order of this Court has been complied with.
(5) Mr.S.Silambanan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the 1st respondent on instructions, also submitted that the directions of this Court has been complied with. (6) Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Advocate General and the learned counsel appearing for respondents 2 to 4 / encroachers, this contempt petition is closed.
