The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to dispose of his representation dated 08.06.2023 seeking water and sewerage connection for the premises at Door.No.82, 100 feet Road, Vadapalani, Chennai 600 026.

2. According to the petitioners, they are owning a building in the above mentioned address and the same was constructed in the year 2000. It is the case of the petitioner that till date, water and sewerage connection has not been given to the petitioners' building. The petitioners submitted a representation dated 08.06.2023 to the first respondent seeking water and sewerage connection stating that they paid house tax, building tax and water tax to the concerned Authorities.

3. Mrs.K.Vasantha Mala, learned Standing Counsel who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2, on instructions, submitted that the petitioners have not submitted the application in proper format and if the petitioners 2/4

submit the application in proper format along with proof of payment of necessary charges, the same will be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law.

In view of the stand taken by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, the petitioners are directed to submit necessary application for water and sewerage connection in prescribed format along with proof of payment of necessary charges. If any such application is made by the petitioners, the same shall be considered by the first respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the application.
