ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register the release deeds and settlement deed dated 23.04.2026, 24.04.2026 and 01.05.2026 based on the tokens bearing Nos.1) TP/268370074/2026, 2) TP/268233234/ 2026, 3) TP/267786636/2026, 4) TP/268112674/2026, dated 23.04.2026, 24.04.2026, 5) TP/270423035/2026, 6) TP/270383515/2026, dated 01.05.2026 within the stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner uploaded the documents viz,. the release deeds and settlement deed through online of the Registration Department by paying necessary charges and also obtained tokens on 24.04.2026 and 01.05.2026. When the petitioner went to the respondents' office, the respondents refused to register the same by orally informing the petitioner that the document cannot be registered. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.Dominic S. David, learned Government's Counsel appearing for respondents submitted that no such documents have been received by the respondent as stated by the learned counsel for petitioner and in the event of the petitioner presents the release deeds and settlement deed, the same will be received, processed and thereafter registered if it is in accordance with law.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In such view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to re-present the release deeds and settlement deed dated 23.04.2026, 24.04.2026 and 01.05.2026 afresh along with all the documents and necessary stamp duty forthwith before the respondents. On such presentation of the release deeds and settlement deed by the petitioner, the respondent concerned is directed to receive and register the documents forthwith in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed. 24-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order SRM
