ORDER

The petitioner is a licencee for Digital Signal Distributor (DSD) of Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd.,, (TACTV), the respondents 1,2 and 4 herein. He apprehends that a licence might be granted to respondents 7 to 10 in terms of the violation of licence granted to him. Hence, he approached this Court for a direction to forebear the fourth respondent from doing harm to the petitioner's interest.

2. Mr.M.A.Vimal Mohan, learned Standing Counsel enters appearance for respondents 1, 2 and 4 and informs the Court that the licence granted to the seventh respondent has already been cancelled on 12.06.2023, and the respondents 8 to 10 are only associated with the seventh respondent. The said statement is recorded.

3. Even though the apprehension of the petitioner is largely allayed, now it is the responsibility of the fourth respondent to ensure that no one should operate illegally and without license in that area. 3/6

4. In the result, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
