O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to set aside the order passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Namakkal District, in Crl.M.P.No.613 of 2026 dated 22.05.2026 in Crime No.11 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police and to relax the condition imposed on the petitioner directing him to appear before the respondent police and sign daily at 10.00 a.m. until further orders, as imposed in Crl.M.P.No.337 of 2026 dated 12.03.2026.
2. The petitioner/accused in Crime No.11 of 2025 was arrested and thereafter, released on bail, subject to the condition that he should appear before the respondent police twice a day. Subsequently, the petitioner filed a petition seeking modification of the bail condition and the said condition was modified, directing him to appear and sign before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m.
3. According to the petitioner, she has been complying with the said condition for more than 90 days. The respondent police have almost completed the investigation. His appearance before the respondent police has become a ritual. Since the petitioner has been complying with the condition for a considerable period, he sought further modification of the bail condition. However, the trial Court dismissed the modification petition without granting the relief sought. Hence, the present petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondent submitted that the petitioner appeared before the respondent police twice a day from 20.01.2026 to 13.03.2026 i.e., for 53 days. Thereafter, from 14.03.2026 to 25.06.2026, she has been appearing before the respondent police once a day.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that the petitioner has been complying with the condition for a considerable period and that the investigation is almost complete. Accordingly, the condition imposed by the trial Court is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police at 10.00 a.m., on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every alternate month, until further orders.
6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
