Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the B Group under the head of the petitioner for performing holy activities and the conservation festival of the Arulmighu Angala Parameshwari Thirukkovil at Pachiyamman Kovil Stret, Karungalpalayam, Erode District.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for police protection in order to conduct the festival at Arulmighu Angala Parameshwari Thirukkovil at Erode District.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3.It is seen from the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Erode dated 23.09.2022 that both the parties have been directed to conduct the festival in a peaceful manner as per the arrangement arrived at by the parties.

4.In view of the above, the parties will have to conduct the festival in a peaceful manner. There is no question of providing police protection for conducting the festival. If any law and order problem is created, the

police will immediately intervene and take action in accordance with law and they will also stop further conducting the festival. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with in the above terms. No Costs.
