C.Sugumar ..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2024 and not to grant the final approval for the layout for plots on the application by the 3rd and 4th respondents in the lands comprised in S.F.No.354/2B2C4 of Vaikundam village, Sankagiri Taluk.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 28.06.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that in this case, the petitioners have given a representation dated 28.06.2024 not to grant the final approval for the lay-out for plots on the application by the respondents 3 & 4 in the lands comprised in S.F.No.354/2B2C4 of Vaikundam Village, Sankagiri Taluk. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondents, as on date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, learned standing counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 28.06.2024 will be disposed of by the second respondent within a period of 6 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioners'

representation dated 28.06.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
