ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the following relief; "for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to promote the petitioner for the post of Superintendent from the date of interview by considering the representation dated 25.05.2026."
2.The case of the petitioner is that he had joined the second respondent Corporation as a Junior Clerk under the sports quota on 07.04.1994. Though, initially he was appointed on temporary basis, after completion of 240 days of service, his serves were regularised by the Respondent Corporation. Thereafter, the petitioner had rendered unblemished record of service with the utmost satisfaction of the superiors in the second respondent Corporation. 3.The grievance of the petitioner now is that though the second respondent had conducted interview for the petitioner along with 8 other individuals for promoting them to the post of Superintendent on 23.01.2025, the petitioner is yet to be promoted to the said post, even after a lapse of 18 months since then. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 25.05.
2026 to the second respondent seeking to promote him to the post of Superintendent from the date of interview on 23.01.2025. However, the representation of the petitioner is yet to be considered by the second respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the above said prayer. 4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the relief now sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2026 and to pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four s(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
