By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner for the lands comprised in Survey Nos.178B/2, 179/B and 178B/2, situated at Kuppidisatham Village, Kalavai Taluk, Ranipet District based on petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the lands comprised in Survey Nos.178B/2, 179/B and 178B/2, admeasuring an extent of 43 cents, 1.30 acres and 1.30 acres situated at Kuppidisatham Village, Kalavai Taluk, Ranipet District vide sale deeds dated 28.09.2016, registered in Document Nos.2549/2016, 2550/2016, and 2551/2016 before the Sub Registrar office, Kalavai, Ranipet District. Thereafter, petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.04.2025 seeking transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner, in respect to the subject lands. However, the said representation was not considered by the respondent till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition. 2/5

On this being pointed out, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner has not taken out an online application and if an online application is taken out, the respondent would consider the same and appropriate orders would be passed, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, it is open to the petitioner to file an online application seeking transfer of patta and if any such online application is filed, the respondent shall consider the same on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date on which the online application is filed by the petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 3/5
