O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent police to grant protection to the petitioner from the 2nd respondent.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she is the 2nd wife of the second respondent and that the second respondent had suppressed his earlier marriage with one Manimegalai and got married to the petitioner. When the petitioner questioned the second respondent, it is alleged that she had been threatened. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police protection.

3. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the first respondent police to conduct enquiry, by calling both the parties and ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner from the second respondent.
