This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, Koovathur Police Station, Kancheepuram District to complete the investigation in Crime No.37 of 2018 and file a final report before the concerned Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-State.

3. Taking into consideration, the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court cannot issue any direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner.

However, this petition is closed, with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.37 of 2018, as expeditiously as possible and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
