Respondent(s) PRAYER Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take action on the petitioners representation dated 2.4.2025 made for taking action against the respondents 4 to 9 for taking over the control of the temple viz., Vana Nandeeshwar Sivan Temple, situated at Elayankudi village, Tirunallar, Karaikkal District, Puducherry and against the illegal selling of Panchaloga Idols, Jewels, Diamonds etc., within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus 2/4

directing the respondents 1 to 3 to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 02.04.2025, wherein the petitioner has sought for taking over the control of the temple viz., Vana Nandeeshwar Sivan Temple situated at Elayankudi Village, Tirunallar, Karaikkal District, Puducherry on the ground that the respondents 4 to 9 have sold the panchaloga idols and misappropriated the jewellery.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the nature of allegations made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation dated 02.04.2025 on its own merits after affording an opportunity to the respondents 4 to 9 and take a decision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
