Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's son namely Sundar, s/o.Srinivasan, aged 23 years, who is illegally detained by the respondents 3 and 4, before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.BASKARAN, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to produce her son namely Sundar, s/o.Srinivasan, aged 23 years, who is illegally detained by the respondents 3 and 4, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2.The petitioner states that her son by name Sundar, who went to the fourth respondent Police Station to comply with the bail condition imposed on him in Crime No.1111 of 2016 by the XIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai, found missing from 18.10.2016. Hence she lodged a complaint on 20.10.2016 to the respondents 1 to 3. Since no action was initiated on her representation, she filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition with the prayer as already stated supra.

3.When the matter was taken up, it is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the detenu was complying with the bail condition imposed in Crime No.1111 of 2016 by the XIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai, with the fourth respondent and from 19.10.2016 onwards he is not complying wit the condition. He further submitted that already steps are being taken before the Principal District Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to cancel the bail and to issue nonbailable warrant to secure the detenu. 4.Since the respondent police are taking sufficient steps to trace the detenu, no further orders are necessary to be passed in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. However, the respondent police is directed to pursue the investigation as per law.
