This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 praying to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner in the name of enquiry.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent Police is harassing the petitioner under the guise of a complaint, which is purely civil in nature. Therefore, he has come forward with this petition.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the respondent Police summoned the petitioner only for an enquiry under Section 160 Cr.P.C., on a complaint given by one T.Athiswaran.

5. Considering the nature and circumstances of this case, the respondent-Police is directed to conduct enquiry and dispose of the complaint expeditiously in accordance with law, without harassing the petitioner. The petitioner is also directed to cooperate for the enquiry.
