..Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in C3/D.O.No.113/2020 dated 08.12.2020 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenu Karthikeyan, male, aged about 35 years, son of Chinnaraj, now confined in Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C3/D.O.No.113/2020 dated 08.12.2020, detaining her husband as "Bootlegger" under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.580, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 04.02.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
