PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the firs respondent herein to conduct the counseling to the "IMU Common Entrance Test" qualified students for the August 2009 batch of the 1st year Diploma in Nautical science course leading to B.Sc., (Nautical Science) and thereby fill up the vacant seats to all IMU-Affiliated Institutes. The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for directing the first respondent to conduct the counseling to the IMU Common Entrance Test qualified students for the August 2009 batch for the 1st year Diploma in Nautical Science Course leading to B.Sc., (Nautical Science).

2. Even according to the petitioner, the counseling was scheduled between 13.07.2009 and 15.07.2009. Though this Court has originally granted interim injunction for two weeks and it was extended till 07.12.2009 thereafter, no further extension of interim order was granted. In any event, as the counseling is in respect of the course scheduled in the month of July 2009, I do not find anything survives to be adjudicated upon further. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
