ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S. BASKARAN, J] This petition has been filed by the father of the detenu, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the detenue, namely, Ezhilmathi, aged about 20 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the detenue was produced before this Court by the second respondent police. The petitioner was also present along with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

his counsel.

3. On enquiry, it is admitted by the detenue that she had married the petitioner on 15.12.2014. It is clear from the transfer certificate of the detenue that she was born on 19.7.1996 and therefore, she is a major. The Aadhar Card of the detenue also shows her date of birth as 19.7.1996. Therefore, it is clear that the detenue is a major, as on date.

4. The detenue states that she is now working in Bangalore and she is living separately due to some personal misunderstanding. She has expressed her unwillingness to go along with the petitiner, at this point of time.

5. In such circumstances, as the detenue, being a major, had expressed her unwillingness to go along with the petitioner, she is permitted to go on her own, as per her wish. In view of the above, no further orders are necessary in this petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus petition stands closed.
