(The order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN.,J ) There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
2. This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, Devandran, aged about 40 years, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. The petitioner has stated that the detenu had been taken by the police, on 7.2.2016, and thereafter, he has not returned home.
4. At this stage of the hearing of the habeas corpus petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the detenu had been arrested and remanded to custody on 11.2.2016, in connection with a case, in Crime No.90 of 2016, and at present, the detenu has been lodged in the Central Prison, Salem.
5. In view of the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in this habeas corpus petition. Hence, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
