The Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 31 days in filing the appeal which has been preferred challenging the order of conviction and sentence in S.C.No.432 of 2018 dated 23.05.2022 passed by the Court of Sessions, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Chennai.

2. Since, the petitioner/accused is in jail and the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of the petition are satisfied, this Court is inclined to condone the delay. Accordingly, the condone delay petition is ordered.

3. The Registry is directed to number the above Criminal Appal, if the papers are otherwise in order.
