ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition has been taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 23.03.2021 submitted by the petitioner for enhanced compensation for having acquired the land in Survey No.636/4B measuring 1380 square meter situated in Uthukadu Village, Walajabad Taluk, Kancheepuram District on par with the compensation awarded to the adjacent land owners in Survey No634/2AB and 636/1B in the very same Village.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the second respondent had acquired the land of the petitioner for the purpose of expansion of the State Highways No.58[1] from Chengalpet to Kancheepuram and only a meagre compensation has been awarded to the petitioner when compared to his adjacent land owners. 2/4

In this regard, he has given a representation to the respondents to enhance of compensation as granted to his adjacent land owners and the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner and as the land of the petitioner has already been acquired, let the respondents consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.03.2021 and pass Orders on its own merits within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
