The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that, despite the interim orders in CMP No.627 of 2016 on the file of the learned Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, the petitioner has been dispossessed unlawfully and therefore, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that possession of the premises-in-question will be handed over to the petitioner within a period of one week from today and further direction may be issued directing the learned Principal Judge, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

City Civil Court, Chennai, to expedite the C.M.A.No.50 of 2016 pending on his file.

4. In the result, this writ petition is disposed of, and the first respondent is directed to handover possession of the premises to the petitioner, within a period of one week from today. The learned Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, is hereby directed to give preference and dispose of C.M.A.No.50 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected WMPs are closed.
