The petitioner, who apprehend arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) & 25 of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.594 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 09.08.2022, the petitioner along with other accused found in illegal possession of 2 Kgs of ganja. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and only based on the confession statement of A1, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Anu 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner and other accused were found in possession of 2 Kgs of Ganja. He further submitted that there are three previous cases similar nature pending as against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. .

5. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court finds that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
