PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to provide an appropriate remedy within stipulated time limit as fixed by this Court upon the petitioner's application dated 06.6.2022 seeking to grant patta to the property being purchased by her along with T.Jennath Nisha measuring about 177 sq.ft. situated at the north side of the property at door No.4, Subbaraya Mudali Street, Royapettah, Chennai-14 comprising of old survey No.33 and R.S.No.392/1, Block No.15, Triplicane Village, Mylapore - Triplicane Village, Mylapore - 1/5
Triplicane Vattam, by way of registered sale deed dated 11.8.2017 bearing No.1534 of 2017 from the legal heirs of Mr.Loganathan (a) Singaravelu.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 06.6.2022 wherein the petitioner has sought for the grant of patta with respect to the property measuring about 177 sq.ft., old survey No.33 and R.S.No. 392/1, Block No.15, Triplicane Village, Mylapore - Triplicane Village, Mylapore - Triplicane Vattam, situated at the north side of the property at door No.4, Subbaraya Mudali Street, Royapettah, Chennai-14 based on the sale deed dated 11.8.2017 registered as doc.No.1534 of 2017 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Triplicane.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.
3. The case of the petitioner is that she is the absolute owner of 2/5
the subject property by virtue of the sale deed dated 11.8.2017. After purchase, the petitioner made an application on 06.6.2022 to the first respondent seeking for the issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner. Since no final orders have been passed on the same, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.
4. The first respondent has filed a counter.
5. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent submits that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered and orders will be passed within a time frame.
6. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the application of the petitioner dated 06.6.2022 for the grant of patta in respect of the subject property on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No 3/5
costs.
