JUDGMENT

When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner/ accused would submit that, the parties have since settled the issue and the complainant has received an amount of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) in full quit towards all dues.

Even though, the notice has been served, the respondent/ complainant is not appearing before this Court. 3.

Recording the statement that is made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that there has been a settlement between the parties, this criminal revision is allowed and the conviction and sentence imposed on the petitioner by the judgment dated 23.02.2021 in S.T.C.No.483 of 2017 and confirmed by the judgment dated 28.07.2022 in Crl.A.No.45 of 2021 is hereby set aside and the offence is treated to have been compounded between the parties.

Accordingly, this Criminal Revision is allowed. Consequently, connected criminal miscellaneous petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to cost.
