Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 29.09.2021 in D.O.No.84/2021-C2 against the petitioner's brother Santhavel @ Vellai s/o.Ramu, aged 35 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.A.NAKKIRAN, J] The petitioner is the brother of the detenu viz., Santhavel @ Vellai s/o.Ramu, aged 35 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in D.O.No.84/2021-C2 dated 29.09.2021, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in D.O.No.84/2021C2 dated 29.09.2021, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.5796, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 26.11.2021 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
