This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.1746 of 2017 before the competent Court.
2. There was a theft in the house of the petitioner, pursuant to which, on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.1746 of 2017 was registered on 30.11.2017 for the offences under Sections 457 and 380 IPC against unknown accused.
3. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a charge sheet.
4. In the opinion of this Court, when the accused is unknown, this Court cannot issue a direction as prayed for by the petitioner. Hence, this petition is closed, with a direction to the respondent police to take effective steps to identify the accused and take action in accordance with law, expeditiously.
