The prayer in the writ petitioner is for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 18.05.2010 of the petitioner regarding disbursement of subsistence allowance.

2. The petitioner has submitted that a representation to the first respondent dated 18.05.2010 regarding disbursement of subsistence allowance was given. When the same was not decided, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Since the prayer itself is for a direction to consider and pass order on the representation of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that a direction can be given to that effect. Hence, there shall be a direction to the respondent, especially the first respondent to consider the representation dated 18.05.2010 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already decided.

5. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Index:
