ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the notice issued by the respondent informing the petitioner that proposed action is going to be initiated under Section 78 and 79 of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1/4

1959.

2. Heard Mr.J.Nagaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. In the considered view of this Court, the respondent has the power and jurisdiction to issue such a notice and therefore the notice does not suffer from lack of jurisdiction. If the petitioner has any explanation to offer for the notice issued by the respondent, the petitioner can give her reply and thereafter the respondent can proceed in accordance with law after affording an opportunity to the petitioner. This clarification will sufficiently take care of the grievance of the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
