ORDER

Petitioner seeks quash of proceedings in Crime No.396 of 2012 on the file of respondent police.

2.Heard the petitioner, who appeared in person, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel for the petitioner in Crl.MP No.5581 of 2017/ proposed party. 3.Bare reading of the complaint informs that the petitioner, along with other accused, has opened a Trust at Chennai and several other places, offering various loan schemes to members and causing members of the public to believe such representation to be true, collected sums of Rs.5,500/- from several persons towards membership, granted business loan to some women, thereby gaining confidence of public and gathered further sums from members of self help groups, but, failed to fulfil promises made.

Though permission of Reserve Bank of India was claimed, financial activities were carried out without the same and the Reserve Bank of India had caused public notices in this regard. If said allegations be true, they would make out commission of cognizable offences. For the present, this Court is bound to take the allegations in the First Information Report as true. 4.This petition stands dismissed.

Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
