ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 11.05.2022 passed by this Court in W.P.No.13451 of 2010. 2.

This Court, having taken note of the delay in complying with the order, issued statutory notice on 27.09.2024. Thereafter, the respondent No.1 issued G.O.(D).No.1108, Health and Family Welfare (I-2) Department, dated 22.10.2024 granting DCRG and pension pursuant to the order passed by this Court modifying the punishment of compulsory retirement. The DCRG amount of Rs.2,17,350/- has already been paid to the petitioner and however, the pension amount of Rs.6,951/- per month from the date of compulsory retirement is not yet been credited to the account of the petitioner. However, Mr.K.Tippu Sultan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents made a statement that 2/4

the respondent No.1 would ensure that the entire arrears of pension would be credited to the account of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today.

In view of the fact that the respondent No.1 had already issued orders granting pension and DCRG amount which was also credited to the bank account of the petitioner and considering the statement made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court does not deem it necessary to continue the contempt proceedings. Accordingly, this contempt petition is closed directing the respondent No.1 to take immediate steps for crediting the arrears of pension and also to see that the monthly pension is credited to the account of the petitioner in terms of the Rules. 28.10.2024 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No dpa 3/4
