ORDER

It is seen that the petitioner was married to one Sathya eight years back and for the last two years they are separated. It is alleged by the petitioner that they have no issues through the wedlock on account of which there has been a lot of misgivings in the family. According to the petitioner, when he was living happily with this wife he had purchased some plant and machinery in the name of his wife and he is now running a lathe in Chinna Salem, which is his only source of livelihood and that his wife and her parents are attempting to oust him from possession of the plant and machinery and hence, he has given a complaint on 26.09.2016 by registered post to the respondent and has come up with this original petition for a direction to the respondents to give a police protection.

2. Today, Mr.Ravi, Sub Inspector of Police, Chinna Salem Police Station, is present.

3. In a case of this nature, where there is a matrimonial dispute between the parties, no positive direction can be issued to respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner and his properties exclusively. attempt by opposite party to cause disturbance to the petitioner, it is always open to him to approach the respondent police and give a complaint and on such complaint being given, the same shall be inquired into by the 2nd respondent police and if the circumstances warrant, necessary protection be given to the petitioner.

4. In the result, this criminal original petition is disposed of with the above directions.
