ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give police protection to the petitioner and her husband from the petitioner's parents and parents men.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner belongs to reddy caste in Hindu religion and her husband belongs to Muslim religion. Both of them got married as per Hindu rituals. Since the marriage was not agreeable, the parents of the petitioner threatened the petitioner and her husband to do away. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint to the 3rd respondent Police on 12.10.2021, which was received on 14.10.2021, but no action has been taken. He further submitted that earlier, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking Police protection, which was also not considered.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that since the marriage of the petitioner with Mohammed Shujaath was not agreeable, the petitioner's family gave life threat to the petitioner and her husband. Hence, she lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent Police on 12.10.2021, which was received on 14.10.2021 and enquiry conducted on 17.10.2021 in C.S.R.No.308 of 2021. During enquiry, the petitioner had given a letter stating that now, she and her husband are living separately without any life threat or any problem and also stated that in future, if she faces any threat, she would approach the concerned Police. Recording the same, C.S.R.No.308 of 2021 was closed by the 3rd respondent Police.
