Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the request of the petitioner dated 16.02.2016 and 19.07.2016 for the allotment at any one of the vacant flat, viz., Flat No.1/11, 2/12 and 2/16 in Venkatapuram Colony, Saidapet, Chinnamalai and till then not to evict the petitioner from the Flat LIG A-6, NGGO Colony at Nandanam.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner would state that by way of an alternate accommodation, he was allotted AC-8, Ground Floor in Thod Hunter Nagar Government Quarters, Saidapet. The petitioner would further state that his mother is unwell and since his son is going to Higher Secondary Course, he prays for accommodation at

Venkatapuram, Little Mount, Saidapet, Chennai, in stead of AC-8, Ground Floor, Thod Hunter Nagar and in this regard, the petitioner has also submitted representations dated 16.02.2016 and 19.07.2016 respectively to the respondents 1 and 2 and since no orders have been passed, he has come forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the 1st respondent and Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in his representations or in this writ petition, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 16.02.2016 and 19.07.2016 respectively on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
