3. The direction prayed for the petitioner cannot be granted in the light of the law laid down by the Supreme Court in State of Punjab Vs Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar & Others [(2011)14 SCC 770]. In view of the above, this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to comply with the order dated 16.08.2016 passed by this Court in Crl.OP.No.17841 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible.
