Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to issue new family card to the petitioner, viz., B.Manikandan, son of K.P.Balu, residing at Door No.22B/10-1, Kattapomman Street, Anna Nagar [Rajampal Nagar], Kallakurichi Post and Taluk, Villupuram District as per the applications submitted on 05.06.2015 in respect of Application No.195/2015 and based on the petitioner representation dated 15.07.2016 and pass order on the same within a reasonable time to be fixed.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

In pursuance of the orders dated 29.07.2016, the 2nd respondent is present today before this Court and he would submit that on account of certain deficiencies noted, the ration/family card could not be granted to the petitioner on time and now, it has been issued on 11.08.2016. The said official would further add that in future, he will discharge his duties assigned to him promptly without any delay and the said submission is also placed on record.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

In the light of the said development, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Therefore, the writ petition is closed.
