This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.06.2024, seeking bail in Crime No.118 of 2024 registered for the offence under Sections 364A and 506(1) of IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is running a courier business. On, 12.06.2024, he received a phone call from the accused to send his staff to collect Rs.20 lakhs from them and send the amount to Mumbai through a courier. Subsequently,, the defacto complainant sent his employee, but the accused detained the staff in their custody and demanded Rs.5 lakhs to be deposited in the HDFC Bank to release him. Hence, the complaint.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that this is the third bail petition seeking for bail. He would further submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated

and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioners are in custody from 13.06.2024 and they are ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioners.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that it is a case of kidnapping for ransom. He further submitted that the accused detained the victim in their illegal custody and demanded ransom from the defacto complainant. He further submitted that the accused persons were arrested and the victim was also rescued, from them, Innova car and cellphones were also seized. He further submitted that all the petitioners belong to the State of Telungana, He further submitted that no amount was collected from the defacto complainant. He further submitted that the investigation is still pending. However, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances and the fact that all the accused are belong to other State of Hyderabad and on seeing the

gravity of offence, it seems that they have threatened the defacto complainant for extorting money and also detained one Rahul and demanded a sum of Rs.5 lakhs for his release and on seeing the nature of offence and the fact that there is no change of circumstances, this Court is of the view that if the petitioners are released on bail, they may abscond and may tamper the witnesses. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
