ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct respondents 2 and 3 to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner for the land comprised in S.Nos.38/1E3E, 38/ 3S5, measuring an extent of 9 cents situated at Thennamadevi Village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District by disposing the written representation made by the petitioner on 22.05.2025 within a stipulated time.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property for more than 30 years. The said land is classified as Tharisu in the revenue records of the Government. Since the petitioner has been doing agriculture for more than 30 years in the subject property, he submitted a representation dated 22.05.2025 before the 2/5

respondents seeking issuance of patta in respect of the subject property. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.

At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that the representation dated 22.05.2025, made by petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, keeping in view the relevant Government Order, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 and 3, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.05.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, keeping in view the relevant Government Order, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this 3/5

Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
