By order dated 17.9.2019, the writ petition seeking to restrain the respondents from establishing solid waste management plant and garbage dumping yard in S.No.209/16 of Kaveripuram Village, Karaikudal Panchayat Union, Vellore District, was dismissed. However, the matter was posted for reporting compliance by filing a status report of the sixth respondent.

Pursuant to the said order, a status report was filed on 27.11.2019 stating that the Solid Waste Management facility has been established in compliance with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.

By recording the statement made in the said status report, these proceedings are closed.
