This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to act upon the complaint / representation made by the petitioner against the second respondent and to take action under Section 7 and 35 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.

2. Heard Mr.Valliappan, Senior Counsel for Mr.R.Marudachalamurthy learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Veda Bagat Singh, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent.

3. The petitioner has certain grievance against the second respondent on the ground that the second respondent is misleading the general public regarding their project and giving false promises. Therefore, in order to safeguard the welfare of the general public and to stop the unethical and forbidden commercial practices, the petitioner wants action to be taken against the second respondent. A representation dated 10.05.2025 did not evoke any response and it is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner dated 10.05.2025 after affording opportunity to the second respondent and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5. This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
