This petition has been filed to condone the delay of 436 days in filing the above civil miscellaneous appeal against the judgment and decree dated 11.12.2023 made in M.C.O.P.No.7618 of 2016 on the file of the V Small Causes Court (Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal), Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.C.Paranthaman, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.
3. The reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition being satisfactory, this petition stands ordered and consequently, the delay of 436 days in filing the above appeal is condoned, subject to the condition that the petitioners will not be entitled to any interest for the delay period i.e., for 436 days, in the appeal.
4. Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order and post the case for admission in due course.
