..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records on the file of the Respondents in Old C.M.C.No.08/126/0509/000000, New C.M.C.No.5574 10/136/08715/000 and quash the impugned Demand Notice dated 08.07.2021, on the file of the 2nd Respondent, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently, direct the Respondents to take immediate and effective steps to install a new meter for Old C.M.C.No.08/126/0509/000000, New C.M.C.No. 557410/136/08715/000 at the subject premises namely Door No.30 (Old Door No.60/7), Theyagaraya Road, T.Nagar, Chennai 600 017.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner sought the permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition. She has also made an endorsement to the said effect and sought time to file an appeal.

2. Recording the submission and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. However, the petitioner is granted liberty to file an appeal within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order subject to compliance with the other conditions including pre-deposit, if any. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
