ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.12.2023 along with the legal heirship certificate of the mother Kanakavalli for issuance of joint patta to the petitioners within a time limit.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners are son and daughters of Devaraj and Kanagavalli and they inherited the property owned by their parents. The petitioners made a joint petition for issuance of patta in respect of lands belonging to their parents. Though their submitted the legal heir certificate of their mother, the respondents insisted on production of legal 2/4

heirship certificate of their father. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents for issuance of patta in their favour.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.12.2023 and pass Orders on the same, considering the legal heir certificate of the mother of the petitioners, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
