Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records in Connection with the order of Detention passed by the first respondent in Cr.M.P.No.31/G/2016(E1) dated 19.10.2016 against the petitioner's son Praveen Kumar @ Pradeep Kumar, male, aged 24 years S/o Chandran, who is confined at Central Prison, Tiruchirapalli and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] Challenge is made to the order of detention passed by the first respondent vide Proceedings in Cr.M.P.No.31/G/2016(E1)

dated 19.10.2016, whereby the detenu, namely Praveen Kumar @ Pradeep Kumar, S/o Chandran, aged about 24 years, was ordered to be detained under GOONDA as contemplated Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the first respondent as against the petitioner dated 19.10.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. Rt. No.5939, HOME, PROHIBITION & EXCISE (XII) DEPARTMENT, dated 25.11.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
