ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the case in C.C. No. 6 of 2016 within the stipulated time frame.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent brought to notice that the trial is almost over and the accused side is filing one application after another to recall, reopen, etc., and the same is also being dealt with by the trial Court expeditiously.

3. It is also further seen that, already in Crl.O.P No. 21285 of 2018, time has been fixed to complete the trial and it is for the trial Court to expeditiously complete the trial. Repeated applications cannot be entertained for fixing time limits. Once the time limit is fixed by this Court, it is for the trial Court to complete the trial or if it cannot, to come by way of an extension of time. Therefore, this application is only superfluous. In any event, since it is stated that the case is of the year 2016 and said to be in an advanced stage, the trial Court shall make all endeavours to complete the same as expeditiously as possible.
