O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 17.03.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of legal heirship certificate pursuant to the demise of her father late Ramprasad Saraf.

2. Heard Mr.D.Daniel, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.T.N.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that her father died on 19.12.2024 leaving behind his wife, three sons, one daughter and his parents. The application submitted by the petitioner was not processed and it was returned. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

4. Learned Additional Advocate General submitted that the 2/4

petitioner can go over to the office of the third respondent and clarify the queries of the third respondent and submit the relevant documents. Thereafter, the third respondent will deal with the application and issue the legal heirship certificate.

5. Considering the materials placed before this Court and taking note of the submission of learned Additional Advocate General, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to go over to the office of the third respondent and clarify the queries by submitting the relevant documents. Thereafter, the third respondent shall act upon the application and grant the legal heirship certificate. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
