By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 17.03.2025 and to direct the respondents to measure the property comprised in Survey No.197/2A7, situated at Melpuram Village, Nemili Taluk, Ranipet District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that he is the absolute owner of the properties comprised in Survey No.197/2A7 measuring an extent of 18 cents and Survey No.201/4A measuring an extent of 27 cents, in all total of 48 cents , situated at Melapuram Village, Arakkonam Taluk by virtue of sale deed in Document No.1013/1993 dated 17.11.1993 registered on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Kaveripakkam. Thereafter, patta was mutated in petitioner's name and petitioner submitted an application for measurement and survey of the subject property on 17.03.2025, however the same is stated to be kept pending. Aggrieved, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Advocate for respondents that the above representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on its own merits, pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after putting the petitioner on notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, including rival claimants, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the application and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the application on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
